"My intention when I paint is to find a complexity in simple but strong abstract shapes and beautiful colours that will challenge and engage the observer. I use physical and emotional intensity to get to that place where thought stops and my intuition can have free rein; I invite my viewers’ participation and response, so that art as communication can take place.
Serenity, emotion, strength, determination, passion, harmony, and freedom guide me as I share my vision through colour, design, shape, pattern, line, texture, value, edges and space, repetition with variety, movement and rhythm."
